Hi, I'm Emily

My obsession for shiny things began when I was young.

My dad and I would tumble rocks we had found to see what beauty lay beneath the surface. That's how I try to view most things: hopeful that there is something beautiful beneath the surface of people, circumstances, and life in general.

During a session of decluttering, I came across three opal stones that my grandma and I had gotten at a gem show many years before.

Being my optimistic self, I thought, "How hard could it be?" After a few YouTube videos and a tool list, my husband set me up a workstation in our garage.

While learning about silversmithing, I truly felt this crazy closeness to God, like He was leading me to silversmithing. I crank up worship music or my Bible app and experience such an incredible time of peace, worship, enjoyment, and creativity.

These last few years have been a hard journey of self-development. God has revealed to me things that needed to be pruned out of my life, shifting directions time and time again. I know now, beyond a shadow of a doubt, I'm on the right path.

I am thankful for the work God is doing in my life and the enjoyment He is restoring. When these pieces are created, they are steeped in worship, prayed over, and anointed with oil. When you wear these pieces, know they were designed with God in mind. Every time you look at them, I want you to think about God's love and how valuable you are to Him.

I hope it can be a part of a conversation to lead someone to Christ or simply share God's love with someone.

That's how Anointed by Emily was born.
